Overview:
After the introduction of the Jade Hawk, the Falcons began looking for a faster and smaller ship that could fight in both atmosphere and in space. The scientists took the Jade Hawk design and downsized it, ripping out the docking hardpoint and the fighter and small craft bays before reinforcing the main drive. The result was a superior space-to-space and air-to-air combat ship.
The Jade Lanner is shaped like a stylized falcon, with wings sweeping out to either side. It carries the same weapons array as the Jade Hawk, two naval lasers buried deep into the decorative eyes, while numerous other laser armaments sprout out from the rest of the "head" and the wings. Their superior speed compared to other WarShips allows them to quickly move between regions of a large battle. They are often seen escorting larger WarShips, DropShips, or doing general patrol work. They are also often seen at DropPorts, guarding the approaches from uninvited visitors.
