After the war between Clan Jade Falcon and Clan Steel Viper, Clan Wolf, Tamar, and the Lyran Commonwealth came to an end, the Jade Falcon fleet was decimated. Still a powerful force, many of its lighter escort ships were gone, leaving it with a few large ships to patrol space. The Jade Hawk was their scientists' response to the lack of escorts. It was small enough to be built quickly and inexpensively, while powerful enough to patrol space. The Jade Falcons spent little time putting it to use.
         The Jade Hawk is shaped like a stylized hawk, with wings sweeping out to either side.   It carries two naval lasers buried deep into the decorative eyes, while numerous other laser armaments sprout out from the rest of the "head" and the wings. This allows the Jade Hawk to swoop "down" on enemies and rip them apart with concentrated laser fire. A star of fighters and a single DropShip support the Jade Hawk's weapons, allowing them to project power far beyond the reach of their laser systems. They are often seen escorting Great Falcon-class destroyers or the larger WarShips of the surviving Jade Falcon battleline, in addition to doing their standard patrol duties.
