Alliance-class frigates are the new standard WarShip of the Raven Alliance space arm. Twenty five of them fill out every main Nova fleet, supporting the star of capital ships, and scores of them patrol Alliance space, enforcing the peace in every system. Heavy automation keeps crew sizes on these ships very small, and large fuel tanks allow them to cruise for an impressive amount of time without resupply.
         They mount a single spinal naval-class particle cannon and fire a naval missile from above it. Banks of missiles, lasers, autocannons, and even plasma rifles fire from within the nose and forward sections of the craft's wings, giving them an impressive display of firepower. Points of them are known to swoop down on enemy WarShips, ravaging them in short order. They have limited defenses to the sides and rear though, allowing a force that gets behind them the ability to tear them apart with little returning fire.
         Small enough to detach their jump sail rigging and enter atmosphere, they are often seen at DropPorts throughout the Alliance, where their distinctive shape is easy to recognize. Resembling a bird of prey, Alliance citizens take heart whenever they see these frigates swooping down on their prey, usually pirates or less honorable enemies like Kuritans.
