Overview:
The original Constable put into production in 3066 by the Taurian Concordat was little more than an armored suit with some basic sensors attached. Designed for use solely for the Concordat Constabulary, it was inadequate as a combat suit for fighting enemy 'Mechs or other forces. Despite this, the Colonial Marshals put the suit to work as it was the only armored suit they had access to at the time. During the 3070s however they put Canopian and Taurian engineers to work in a series of redesign efforts that resulted in the Constable V.
Capabilities:
The Constable V is faster, stronger, better, sporting three times the speed and three times the armor protection of its ancestors. It can even jump 90 meters with its integral jump jets, more than enough to surprise opponents expecting to fight the original Constables. Carrying a heavy machine gun, the new Constable is capable of generating appreciable damage on BattleMechs or other combat vehicles. Also mounting a number of modular mission equipment jack-in ports, unlike the original Constable, it can be customized to whatever mission is about to be run. Finally, the Constable V sports magnetic clamps that allow it to ride on any BattleMech or vehicle, greatly improving the speed at which they can be deployed.
Deployment
The Constable V is seen throughout the Trinity Alliance, used by the Colonial Marshals, other major military institutions, and even the intelligence arms. They are also used by some law enforcement offices such as the Concordat Constables when heavy weapons are required.
