Overview:

   Originally designed by Clan Smoke Jaguar, the Defiler was still in prototype stage when Huntress was taken by Inner Sphere forces.   Very few of these are still in existence, and even fewer still have ever seen combat. Originally designed to be a devastatingly effective close range fighter, it has many variants set up for different combat environments.

Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:

The first time anyone heard of Robert "Bowtie Bob" Simmons, he was leading a band of pirates in the Periphery.   No one knows for sure where he came from, but it is rumored that he and his pirates are ex-Smoke Jaguars based on the equipment they have been seen using.

Bowtie's mech of choice is a Clan Omni he calls "Keg Stand".   It is a one-of-a-kind conversion of a very rare Defiler Omni-Mech.   Very similar to the Primary variant, "Keg Stand" has been modified to suit it's pilot's odd quirks.   Although the weapons loadout changes depend on available replacements, two things remain the same.   The most notable change is the cargo hold that was added after an ammo explosion almost gutted the left side of the mech.   According to Bob, it can hold up to a 1/2 ton of beer kegs.   The second major addition is the so-called "mini" fridge installed in the head of the mech which apparently holds up to another 1/4 ton of beer within reach of the pilot.
